Our aim is to foster a spirit of co-operation and friendship between home, school and the wider community through:
- Encouraging parents to be involved in school activities and visits
- Involving our school family and the wider community in Collective Worship and celebrations
- Regular parent/teacher meetings
- Encouraging children to support charitable causes
- The promotion of parental involvement in attending meetings, events and performances
- Developing citizenship through liaison with the emergency services and other groups
- Support of Home School Partnership activities (such as Hamper Appeals, Summer Fayre, Bingo and numerous raffles)
- Maintaining links with other primary and secondary schools
- Developing citizenship through liaison with police, fire and health professionals
Throughout the academic year we strive to plan and host numerous sessions for parents/carers to be actively involved in their child's learning journey such as:
- Online Safety Parental Workshops
- 'It's Your Child's Life' = A collaboration to support parents/carers in maximising their child's potential
- Mindfulness sessions for parents
- Wellness Sessions for Parents
- Paella Masterclass to encourage healthy eating
- Mystery Readers to encourage reading for pleasure
- Reading Volunteers
- Aspirational Career Talks such as 'Women in Science' talks/workshops
- Educational Learning Experience Support
- Support and dissemination of knowledge and skills in extra-curricular activities such as Chess Club
