Welcome to Year 1!

It has been a pleasure getting to know all of the children so far and we are looking forward to our learning journey through Year 1. 

In 1T, the class teacher is Miss. Thompson and in 1W, the class teacher is Miss. Whittle. 

Mrs. Ford and Miss. Leary support across the year group. 

Children should come into school at 8.45am and be collected at 3.00pm. 

Please bring the following items to school each day:

• A water bottle
• Runnymede St. Edwards School bag
• School coat (weather dependent)

Although school provide a piece of fruit for snack each day, children in Year 1 may bring in their own snack, providing this is 1 portion of fruit or veg. No other items are permitted. Packed lunches are not permitted in Year 1. 

On P.E. days, children must attend school in their P.E. kits. P.E. days are as follows:

• 1W Monday
• 1T Tuesday 

Reading books are given out on a Friday and are expected to be returned on the following Thursday. It is important that your child reads daily. If a book is not returned, a new one will not be sent out until it is brought back to school. Please take care with any books your child brings home from school.
