Each term, we follow topics as part of the Come and See programme. In the Autumn term, we learned about ourselves and the important adults in school. God knows us by name and our names are precious. God says, ‘I have called you by your name, you are my child.’

Our next topic's focus was 'Welcome' and how we can be welcomed into God's family through Baptism. We enjoyed sharing pictures of our own Baptisms and recreating a class Baptism with baby Luna!

The topic of 'Birthday' allowed us to prepare for Jesus' birthday during Advent, understand the story of the first Nativity and share our own birthday experiences. 

Our first topic in Spring was Celebrating. We recognised how a parish family celebrates at church. We enjoyed learning about and role playing the Presentation Story...Mary and Joseph taking Jesus to the Temple.

Next we talked about 'Gathering' and the times we have gathered together with others. We listened to and recognised the story of 'The Little Children and Jesus'.

Next we talked about Spring and how it is a time when things begin to grow. We recognised that Lent is a time to grow in love and be more like Jesus. We enjoyed making Lenten promises and finally joyfully celebrating Easter!
