Home School Partnership

The Home School Partnership is a group of parents, carers, grandparents and staff members who have joined together for the benefit of all the children at Runnymede.

They meet on a regular basis, during term time, to discuss:

  • Ideas for future fundraising
  • The implementation of current planned events
  • Expenditure the school may have requested
  • Seasonal treats for the children (e.g. the Christmas parties)
  • They are always looking for new members, who can provide fresh ideas and renewed energy!

The next date for the HSP to meet will be 16th November 2023 for the HSP Committee and class representatives.

How does the Home School Partnership help Runnymede?

During recent years the Home School Partnership has contributed 50% towards the upgrades within the IT suite.  They have given contributions to the Music department for much needed specialist equipment as well as providing increased sound and vision technology throughout the School.  Each class now has a “wet play” box to ensure our children have exciting games to play with, even on rainy days.  They have assisted with improvements to the Early Years playground and contributed towards the cost of educational visits for our Young Edwardians.

More recently, they have purchased the materials to allow the school to build the outdoor stage for our budding actors and actresses and dance troupes! This list is not exhaustive and hopefully shows that the provision of so called “luxuries” are actually valuable additions which benefit our children in educational and fun ways. Put quite simply, they try to ensure that funds are available to assist the School (and therefore the children) whenever the need arises.

How does the Home School Partnership raise funds?

They organise a range of different events during the year to raise funds and to provide opportunities for parents to meet to support the learning journey of our children.

You can now raise easy money for our school whenever you shop online – 100’s of online retailers are registered with the above website e.g. John Lewis, M&S, Amazon & Ebay – to name just a few.  You will still make your purchase through your chosen retailer at no additional cost to you, that retailer then makes a donation to Runnymede PSA based on a percentage of your shopping bill, like a loyalty payment – it really is easy fundraising!
