Runnymede St Edward's Catholic Primary School

Runnymede St Edward’s is steeped in history, having been established as a school in 1938. Today we continue to be inspired by the work of Edmund Rice, our founding Father, who was inspired by the Gospels to reach out to the destitute. With a group of friends, Edmund formed a religious congregation that sought to improve the lives of those made poor, via transformational education. 

Runnymede is part of a global network of over 200 schools who are united in the spirit of the Blessed Edmund Rice. Christian Brothers’ schools today are challenged by the story of Edmund as they seek to live out the gospel values in the competitive climate of today’s educational world.
